Studio Sale!

Here's a quick last minute notice: I'm having a studio sale!! It's happening this Sunday, November 25th from 1-4 at 221 31st Street W.
We are moving back to Nelson, BC on Tuesday so I'm clearing out seconds and a bit of old stock. I'll also have lots of new dishes and jewellery. If you're in Saskatoon and don't make it out..I'll still have my work at The Better Good.

Denmark

I had the opportunity recently to spend a week in Denmark. There was a print on clay seminar at Guldagurgaard Ceramic Centre http://www.ceramic.dk/ and an exhibition at the studio/gallery of Anne Linnemann http://annlinnemann-english.blogspot.ca/ in Copenhagen.
Both of these events were timed to coincide with the imminent publication of an all new edition of Paul Scott's Ceramics and Print. http://www.cumbrianblues.com/ceramicsprint.html

This are the pieces of mine that were featured in the exhibition. After the show and seminar I had four blissful days riding a bike around Copenhagen checking out all the great little design shops, second-hand stores, museums and restaurants in the city. It was so inspiring and a nice little rest before the big move. We are relocating our family back to Nelson,BC at the end of the month.

Happy Fall! I'm back in the studio after a much needed little break. We took the kids to BC on the train. We had a chance to get caught up with friends in Nelson and had a great visit with family around the lower mainland and interior.

After that I took a little trip to Gabriola Island for a four fabulous days of inspiring beauty and spending time with friends at Forage: A gathering of ideas and makers http://www.feedlotstudios.ca/forage/

We took the train back to Saskatoon just in time for the kids to start school.

I jumped right in to production, making work for IDSwest at the end of the month. This is the first time the Interior Design Show has a one-of -a-kind componant to it. It's called 'the district', you can find me at booth #D21A. I'm really looking forward to being there!

In the meantime, I've got an exhibition opening this weekend at the Discovery Gallery (at the Alberta Craft Council) in Edmonton. I'll be at the opening reception from 2-4 on Saturday the 15th.

The countdown is on to the Calgary Folkfest. I'll be back with Very Hush Hush, our airstream gallery for the third year at folk fest. We've got lots of great new work from western Canadian artists and designers.
